Great motor

Nov 27, 2017

Hi,
This is a great motor ! Put it on a Carbon cub, 2,4m wingspan and OA weight around 6Kg.
Powerhouse setup : - Batteries : Zippy compact 4500mAh, 2x4S - ESC : Turnigy Sentilon HV 100A - Motor : G110
Measurments :
Turnigy 17x10 light electric prop : 29,8V, 54,5A, 1680W, 7800rpm
TGY 17x10 plastic prop : 30,2V, 51A, 1550W, 8000rpm
Aerostar 18x10 : 29V, 75A, 2200W, 7200rpm
I'll try another 18x10 Turnigy light electric soon.
Haven't measured the static traction yet !
Only 'desagrement' : I had to secure the wires on the motor backplate, as wires are stiff, not very well protected, and holes in the backplate are sharp... Not that sure it would have last long with no mods on this topic...
I'll try to update after the first flight !
Other specs on the cub and the motor mount available here (in french...) : http://aero-montbeliard.forumactif.org/t149p310-teasing-construction-piper-pa18#2603

I use this engine om a 185 cm 5300g extra 260. I run it on 8s 2x4 s 4500mAh with a 18 x10 light weight wooden turnigy prop it draws 70A on the ground. After a 6 minute flight with some throttle management the battery has 40pcnt left and everything is cool.

Tested this G110 295kva motor on my test stand

Prop: 3 Bladed 15x8 electric
Lipo: 9s (6s 3s Turnigy 5800maH)
ESC: Spin 99

Result:
1754Watts, 53max Amp draw, 5kg thrust, 8500 RPM.

Motor pulls strong and is well made.
2x G110s will go into my Heinkel HE111 100` 15kg AUW.

I purchase one of these about 3 months ago. I placed it into a FMS Corsair 1700mm with a 4 blade propeller that came with the kit. I added a Castle lite phoenix ESC. What a combination compared to the motor that is stock from FMS. I have flown with both motors and there is no comparison. The Turing has at least 50pcnt more power. The plane flew so much better, not sluggish at all. It is less expensive than the FMS engine also making it the best deal I have found. At 50pcnt throttle, it had the power of full power from the FMS. I can't say enough good about this product.

i can't find a way to secure the prop adaptor (wrong size screws - and no info on correct size screws) or to prevent the prop adaptor from spinning in the prop (smooth adaptor face)
