Better Flier Than Anticipated

Nice all around. I read the directions, watched the videos, and the maiden flight went well. Nice fit and finish. Gear works great. Only issue so far is the motor tightens up after flying. Wait for it to cool down, then it's back to normal. Heat expansion?? Don't know. Hmm, might need to get a backup.

Einfach Top und kein Flop!!!

Die Me-163, wie sie hier verkauft wird, ist wirklich sehr gut gelungen.
Sie fliegt sehr präzise und hat ein TOP Flugbild und das Finish finde ich sehr gelungen.
Das Starten mit dem Fahrwerk ist ein bisschen schwer, da sie dazu neigt stark nach rechts oder auch nach links auszubrechen.Mit ein bisschen Übung bekommt man dies aber auch schnell sehr gut hin.Der ,,Wurfstart'' ist sehr gut zu meistern, sie fliegt direkt ohne Probleme geradeaus.Ich kann die Me-163 wirklich sehr empfehlen!!!!!!!Sie macht sehr viel Spaß, macht auf jedem Modellflugplatz was her und ist auf jeden Fall Ihr Geld Wert!!!

Echt Top ohne Kompromisse!

Eines der besten Krafteier die ich je besessen habe!!! Es fliegt absolut präzise und macht unglaublich viel Spass! Auch ist die Me163 in ihrem Aussehen einfach nur der Hammer!
Was auch perfekt funktioniert, ist das abwerfbare Fahrwerk. Es wird über einen Magenten gehalten und wird via einem eingebauten Servo bei Betätigung ausgeworfen.
Hier wurde von mir das Fahrwerk etwas zusammen gebogen, um dem Modell beim starten eine Vorspur zu verleihen. Damit sind die Starts deutlich um die Längsachse stabiler. Auch wurden größere Räder verwendet, damit wird der Anstellwinkel und der Abstand zum Boden/Rasen erhöht.
Ein effektiver Propeller wurde auch noch verwendet, da der mitgelieferte nicht den notwendigen Druck erzeugt. Das wird noch deutlicher, wenn mit 4s geflogen wird. Das wiederum ist dann noch der letzte Kick. Dann vervielfacht sich der Spass deutlich!
Rundum ein gelungenes Modell was auch im Rudel einiges hermacht!

Fixing Servo

Complement to my first assessment: The glue was painted on the paint. The servo has therefore only glued to the color!

Too bad that the wrong glue was used. The servos are glued in with a rubber adhesive, which after a few flights resulted in a crash. Also, the skid down, which should also hold the chassis, is turned on only with rubber glue. Is also loose after a few launches.

Interesting looks, solid flight and decent performance

Another solid plane from Durafly. The dolly system is great fun, as is the rocket. 3s performance is respectable but much better on 4S. Balance the prop.. both of mine were out. The noise is horrendous at WOT.
One of the easiest to land planes ever.. flaring as you land is a joy. The plane just locks in, wiggles an inch or two and slides home. Easily made it's way in to my 15 odd regularl fliers.
O use the 4S Graphene 1300 65c for speed runs.
Had to sand the dolly down a bit to enable it to release from the plane without slowing down or using a loop/roll to flick it off.

Very Happy with the Komet

A really great design by Durafly and fun to fly. Purchased another, the red one, as a backup. Lost a dolly in the bushes and flying the other dolly with an eight foot long yellow ribbon attached just in case. Please stock the dolly gear as a spare part as I don't wish to be grounded..... If you do, I will buy three to be safe. Please and thank you.

fast and fun

This plane is a lot of fun, but not for the faint of heart. They are a handful on take off, flight and landings are mostly of the bounce and tumble style. But it can take a beating. Most damages can be fixed with glue.
It's a fun and fast plane for experienced pilots.
Get some spare props, they just get bent easily. Hope HK will stock some more replacement parts soon.

Great Plane, fast and fun to fly

I purchased the red one and am currently flying the camouflage painted original and am very happy with the design and performance of this plane. It is plenty fast on 2200 mah 3s and faster on an 1800 mah 4s, both batteries weighing about the same. The new wider gear works well but I widened the original narrower undercarriage with 4mm brass tube (fits over the axle) and Dave Brown 3.5 inch lite flight (low bounce) wheels. The wheels fit perfectly on the brass tube and are spaced at a very wide 11 inches. That works great as well, on our grass field, just need to drop the undercarriage upon takeoff so as not to loose it. Full up elevator on the takeoff run at the low rate elevator setting in the manual works well for me. Not worried that there was no glue tube for the red one as I found UHU POR glue for Styrofoam online which will be perfect. I am not having paint issues with my camouflage one, but if the paint on the red one wears, it is nothing that a paint brush with Martha Steward red gloss paint can't fix. Love this plane that's why I have two.
