A perfect size to transport on the back seat of the car, the Mini SkyHunter doesn't fall short of FPV capability despite its small size.

With its EPO and carbon fiber structure, distinctive twin-boom design, large payload bay, shoulder wing and wing mounted equipment pockets, the Mini SkyHunter is set to impress!

Simple bolt together construction means that construction time is kept to a minimum and that the model can also be broken down again quickly at the end of your flying session if needed for storage.

The practicality of the model isn't just skin deep either; molded handgrips for easy launching and a selection of camera/equipment mounting locations and plywood mounts make the Mini SkyHunter a one-stop-shop for short to mid-range FPV flying.

The wing mounted equipment pockets allow sensitive AV transmitters to be mounted well away from the R/C and power systems to eliminate the risk of interference.

The HobbyKing™ Mini SkyHunter is a high quality FPV model at a great price and makes a fantastic introduction to FPV flying and aerial videography for everyday flyers and serious enthusiasts alike.

I bought it few month ago.
Very robust plane as my first flights was quite ... difficult.
I like :
Space to place equipement, easy to repair, nice appearance.
I don't like : two tubes fixed on wings are not well fixed. After few flights, those tubes are moving. Length engaged is wings is short and force applied on tubes could disengage them from wings.
One servo is unsticked and more above all, wings are spinned from the origin making my flight quite unstable.

I fly with foxeer cam TS353, 3S 2700 Turnigy 6S
No OSD but a AP based on Raspberry3 BerryImu Adafruit GPS ADS1015 Adafruit 16-Channel 12-bit PWM/Servo Driver.
Speed with loaded plane is 37km/hr to 85Km/hr (power is usually 50pcnt max)
Flying time ~25min.

This was my second plane after the Bix3, it is very easy to set up and build. It comes well boxed with everything you need to get flying apart from receiver and battery (PNF).
Build time would be less than an hour and the servos where installed already. It comes with a two piece canopy held on by magnets which can be used to mount a camera. It also comes with a wooden canopy you can build up to suit your fpv needs. Space inside is massive allowing for many add ons like stabilizer etc. With a 3000mah 3s lipo flying time is plus 20 mins. There is room for a bigger battery. It flies very well and can do rolls and inverted flight very easy. Rudder servos are an option but it flies well without them. This would make a great first plane that you can easily mount a camera on and can carry a lot of weight.

What a super platform this is!!
It's easy to build and a joy to fly. very forginving and can pack a lightweight 1300 battery but I have now also tried a 4000 3s and still flies excellent!

Here is the link to my channel (p hoeij) and a short impression of the plane in fpv setup:

Nice looking plane if you get it in the air flys good trick is getting it in the air. Its a fifty fifty chance you will get it air borne. I hand launch wings my skysurfer no problem this thing it always wants to roll left only had one launch where it remained straight and true. Everything set up per the instructions everything measured all flight controls level tail section straight just a pain to launch ended up cracking the left wing and ripped foam on nose. Glad I only paid half of the asking for it when it was on sale. Have another PNF in the box may just sell it an not bother. If your looking to get one keep what I have said in mind.

I got this while they were having their "Clearview Sale" for $80.99 and all I can say is WOW!!! Great flying plane. I did have to re-glue the reinforcing strips in the wings but that was as simple as brushing on a bit of epoxy and pushing back into place. I have some 5200 3S packs I use for my 550 Hexacopter and they make the CG perfect in this plane. Lots of room for flight controllers, GPS and video equipment.

I purchased this when the price was $149 and found the same product for $99 within 2-days and submitted the information using the PGS link and still no reply. Link said that typically a response is given within 48 hours (its been 2-weeks). I just dont like the false advertising of price matching.

The box arrived yesterday, double boxed as usual. I gave this plane, the Mini Sky Hunter 5 stars. This is one of the nicest kits I've order from HK. Great photo illustrated assembly manual. Quality molded parts and a solid hardware pack. Hope to have it in the air this weekend. If you're looking for a fixed wing FPV tree skimmer you will like this model.

Pro : Nice plane ,easy Assembly, large space inside to carry FPV stuff and large battery's or whatever you want .
Con: the tail Assembly that hold the carbon tail boom are made out of poor quality plastics ,don't turn on the nuts and bold's to tide or it rips and tears.
The motor is not of a high quality,so is the speed controller, you better keep a replacement stand by it will not last long .
Flying : It's not a floater but flying time's of 20min with a 3000 mhA are possible
In good weather conditions ,it like's to fly a bit faster than a Bixler (more stable ) so if this is the ultimate plane for FPV flying ,not sure about that .
Conclusion : a nice plane for a nice price with it's weak points .

the plane was flying great, right up till the aileron servo came loose, its tough to land a plane with one servo operating the aileron esp since there is no rudder servos. Mine crashed. I didnt pay attention to the fact that the servos on the wings are just sort of stuck in the wing with no evidence of glue. I would put a piece of tape over them just to be sure they stayed in place. I doubt HK will make it good so Im not going down that road. Live and learn.
