The RADIOMASTER TX8 is a budget-priced open-source multi-protocol radio that is packed full of features and is compatible with most mainstream R/C systems using just the one transmitter. The list currently has around 40 supported protocols including Walkera, DSM2/X, FLYSKY and FLYSKY 2A, FrSky, Futaba, Esky, and many, many more. The TX8 is shipped with the open-source "Deviation Tx" software installed as standard, a list of agreed protocols is available from the link shown in the attached User Manual under the "Files" tab. New software updates with even more protocols are being added all the time, so keep in touch with the Deviation Open Source Development Team for the latest information.
It is a fully functioning 8 channel radio with a 2.5" LCD backlit display screen, this can be seen and used even in direct sunlight. Surprisingly for a radio at this price it has also got Non-Contact Hall effect sensor control sticks fitted, these control sticks provide the ultimate feel and precise control demanded by experts and beginners alike. Even more surprising is the number of model memories, you can store a whopping 255 different models without the need for an SD card, which is incredible. The easy to use and intuitive menus are accessed via 5 push buttons on the front which makes programming the Tx a very simple and straightforward affair.
There is a module slot in the back of the transmitter which will accept the popular JR/FrSky type of module which means you can be up and running almost instantly with your favorite protocol. A battery tray is supplied which will accept 2 x 3.7V 18650 Lithium-Ion batteries or alternatively, the TX8 can be powered by a LiPo or LiFe battery via the JST-XH balance lead.
Overall, this is an easy to use, budget-priced, multi-protocol transmitter that removes the need for you to have lots of different types of transmitters at your disposal. This one unit will operate just about all the popular protocols on the market today.
