Product Description

The Walrus is an exceptionally stable flyer and great fun to fly, but as brilliant as the Walrus is, the fun was over when the sunset for the day. Well, not anymore because you will be lighting up the sky with the Night Walrus.

Easy to assemble like the original, amazing to fly, with the pre-installed LED system running throughout the model a new element has been added to this classic.

But it's not only the LEDs that are new, but the airframe itself has also been strengthened and the components upgraded. The fuselage now sports a reinforced plastic belly pan strengthening the fuselage and giving extra model protection for those not so perfect landings. The motor has been upgraded from 2212 1350KV to a 2215 1100KV which gives more torque and the ESC has also been upgraded. To aid cooling to the improved drive train additional cooling has been incorporated into the design.

The pre-installed LED system is powered by simply connecting the LED power lead to an additional connection from the ESC giving you a full 12 volts supply from the lipo/ESC giving you the brightest LEDs around.

The Night Walrus is a great model for day or night and it's sure to become that "go-to" model that everyone just loves to fly.

Great Powered Glider at a Great Cost

The plane flies beautifully. It looks wonderful in the air and has an insane glide ratio. I would recommend this to anyone looking to fly something different; maybe as a second plane. I will note that the servo/control surfaces setup was a bit finnicky while building the airplane (hence the 4 stars). The Walrus uses really good materials for building and it feels super secure throughout. I would dare say that it has more reinforcement and better materials than my E-Flite Valiant 1.3m that was nearly double the cost!

Great model purchased to extend my flying time once the clocks changed.
The radio bay is a little snug and so I wouldn’t be too happy if I needed to remove the wings to transport it as re-wiring would be fiddly especially by torchlight! It’s great to fly and I’ve racked up over 4 hours of flight time in only a couple of weeks (pre-lockdown). Go on, treat yourself!!

Not only do I love this plane, when I unfortunately lost my depth perception and crashed it, I was on the HK website within hours ordering ANOTHER ONE!
This thing is like greased lighting and Lights up the night drawing people from quite a distance wanting to see what the heck that thing IS lighting up the sky.
I guess you could say I (kind'a) like it. Huh?

This is definitely one of the best and most fun flying airplane I've ever owned for day or night. The lights are amazingly bright and very easy to see at night. With the mixing of ailerons and flaps, serious 3D and flying in very windy conditions is easily achievable.
