The ZOHD Drift is a super easy, hand-launch slow-fly pusher glider that has been designed specifically for FPV flying. It is extremely stable in flight, but the controls remain very responsive and accurate. Being a pusher prop design gets the prop well away from the ground, and the hands when launching, it also allows the camera an uncluttered viewing angle.
The Drift is very easy to assemble, no glue is required, and the wing and tail boom remain detachable, making for easy transportation. The Drift has a large battery bay for extended flight times, plus a nose camera bay compatible with most FPV, and AIO cameras available today. It also has a dedicated equipment bay for the flight controller, and GPS unit, etc. The strong EPP foam airframe also benefits from a tough, specially designed H-girder spar for the wing, built-in CF inside the fuselage for enhanced strength, and CF pushrods throughout for precision control.
The empty weight of the Drift is a meager 162g, so it can very easily be kept under the FPV registration threshold of 250g. You will still need though, to check your country's regulations, some do require you to register a model airplane with a camera on even if it is below 250g.
Being Plug-N-Fly (PNF), the Drift is supplied with a 1406-2600KV brushless motor, 30A brushless ESC w/5V 2A BEC, propeller, 2 x 4.3g servos, and 1 x 8g servo. The recommended battery (not supplied) is either a 2S 900~1500mAh or a 3S 800~1100mAh LiPo battery pack.
