The Tundra has firmly established itself in the RC community and has now become the go-to electric RC plane for most RC pilots. From intermediate pilots to the more experienced flier this quality-built RC foam plane will do it all. The Tundra is an extremely versatile plane that is great fun to fly and is highly entertaining for all pilots with its excellent aerobatic potential, STOL flying ability, and all-round toughness.

The Tundra V2 has had further improvements over the upgraded original version. Vortex generators have now been added to the leading edge of the wing to increase stability at slow speeds. The undercarriage is now more secure and easier to install thanks to machine screws and brass inserts, the plastic landing gear cross brace mount is now made of metal for improved durability. Also included is a newly designed battery tray. The V2 still retains the improved wing connectors, wing mount, upgraded motor, and Aerostar 40 amp ESC with reverse.

Whether it is flying from rough fields, water, snow, or sand, the Tundra takes it all on with ease. The Tundra has a wide flight envelope making it ideal for FPV flying, aerobatics, glider towing, candy dropping, or just good old-fashioned super STOL slow-flying,

The tough EPO foam construction is beautifully finished and the Tundra design has a purposeful rugged look. Its lightweight design coupled with a powerful brushless set-up instantly gives you a feeling of confidence on the sticks as quickly as it puts a smile on your face.

This rugged and reliable RC plane can also get into those tight and hard to land places with its huge flaps, vortex generators, and extreme STOL performance. The large main wheels make it easy to land just about anywhere. Swap out the wheels for the supplied floats and you'll have a floatplane majestically flying across lakes, streams, and other waterways.

A quick change to the included FPV canopy will give you more extreme fun flying. More excitement can be found utilizing the built-in tow fitting for towing your friend’s gliders to the best thermals.

Simply put the Tundra is an immense amount of fun to fly and you will be in the air very quickly due to the very straightforward and speedy assembly process. Take on the very best mother nature can throw at you and still come up smiling. With the Tundra, there are no limits!

Greater than expected

Feb 26, 2021

Perfect: The Tundra is really my favorite Plane to fly off grass. It performs very well. Flies smooth and powerful as well as slow. The landing gear is nice when you don't land to hard... The CG is easy to obtain with 1800 to 2400 3S battery. And yes its all in all a really nice Plane to fly every day. I would buy it again.
Not so perfect I find: the Flap Servo on one side makes noise when in neutral flap position and I have to lift the flap by hand a bit to neutral position...
I missed the explanation for the second Cable on the ESC. I guess its for another Channel to reverse the motor. Right? Would be nice to read in the manual. Unfortunately the ESC was giving up when flipped over on landing. There are also some parts in plastic bag, I didn't get what they are for.
The Skis I ordered from Hobbyking don't really match the axle of the tundra... can't be fastened and thus not safe to fly. I almost wrecked the plane...

DURAFLY TUNDRA V2 (PNF) - RED/BLUE - 1300MM (51") SPORTS MODEL W/FLAPS

Feb 25, 2021

This is a great model. I replaced the stock servos with digital metal gear servos and installed a 60a esc to safely use 4s packs. Assembly was a breeze, zero issues. Can't wait to try the pontoons for water take off and landings !

Brilliant aircraft.

Not yet flown, but easy assembly, bright colour scheme, should be a doddle to fly. Not too convinced about the flaps, but once I fly it, I will decide whether to keep te flaps use able, or cement them up.

Bad RC System !!!

Feb 14, 2021

Great plane, fun to fly on the land or on the water with floats!

Feb 12, 2021

This is a great plane for any skill level. The only recommendation i have is to install seam tape on all moving seams, Flaps, Ailerons, Elevators, Rudder. I fly with both 3 cell and 4 cell.

First foam electric after 30+ years away from hobby

Feb 09, 2021

Reentered hobby after 30+year hiatus. After watching several YouTube’s, the Tundra v2 kept surfacing to the top as a winner. And for me, it absolutely is as well. Fairly straightforward build, instruction manual is good, YouTube builds also help tremendously. I paired with a Spektrum AR637T and DX8G2 and in no time it was programmed with AS3X and Safe. Maiden was smooth just a little trim and flying it felt like I had never left hobby. Then first landing attempt I misjudged the distance and hit a tree coming around corner about 60 feet up. Plane fell unpowered all the way down. Impact broke prop, and both plastic wing roots ripped out of foam one wing minor leading edge gouges. 24 hrs later it was easily repaired and back flying - Amazing! Accident all my fault. Plane handled it incredibly well, with all damage very reasonable and repairable. These foamies are incredibly resilient compare to my balsa days -who new game! Since then it has all been really smooth with amazing landing qualities with the big spongy tires. Can’t say enough how happy I am with my Tundra V2. Already want another to have on side just in case Durafly makes a tragic mistake to discontinue, This is a keeper, great first airplane, and will sustain fun forever. Click order now!
