The SonicModell AR Wing PRO is a tough, dynamic, efficient, lifting-body flying wing that delivers an impressive performance with style. The AR Wing PRO features detachable wings, so there is no glue required, which means the wings can be easily removed for transport. Other features are a large battery/flight controller bay, a nose camera bay for FPV flying that suits DJI and other cameras, and numerous compartments for the FPV transmitter (plenty of room for long-range systems) and your RC receiver, etc. These compartments have aerodynamically designed NACA air cooling systems to keep everything including your FPV gear nice and cool.
The aerodynamic design allows for a highly agile, responsive, and precise flying model that gives a sharp reaction to your control inputs. The AR PRO is no slouch in the performance department either, with a high KV power system installed it can reach speeds of 130km/h or over. This is very impressive, but with its carefully designed wing profile giving it a wide speed range, it means that it is equally happy flying around slowly as well.
This version of the AR Wing PRO is supplied in kit form, so you will require your own motor, prop, ESC, and servos. The airframe is nicely molded in tough EPP foam, complete with molded C of G dimples, and for enhanced stability and crash resistance, there is a strong carbon-fiber wing spar. The bottom of the AR PRO is completely flat with stick-on teflon skids, there is nothing really to catch on the ground when landing (apart from the surface control horns) to cause damage, even the servo horns are recessed. The control surfaces themselves come molded to the wing itself with a foam hinge, but CA hinges are also provided as an option. The control surface side of things is completed with a highly accurate, no-slop ball link system.
The SonicModell AR Wing PRO offers great performance, has stacks of room for all your equipment, has an impressive payload of around 900g (depending on weight of the power train and servos you chose), is very easy to assemble, and is the perfect package for FPV and pure fun flying.
