Nice little Edge

This is a fun little plane if you want something small and cheap. It is surprisingly easy to harrier, hover and do stuff like KE spins.
The quality is as expected for a foam covered planes, it scratches easily. Can still take some beating, did a flat spin to the ground and it just bounced back up again, just had to re glue the SFG. Canopy had a bulb at delivery.
Advertised weight is wrong, mine comes in at 665g without battery. Using Emax 12g servos, T-motor AT2312 1150KV 60g, T-motor AT 30A 37g. Using a 1100 3s HV battery, I get about 4:30 flight time with quite aggressive flying.

A one bump and out plane.

Just received my 38" Balsa/EPP Edge. While the kit looks pretty good overall, I'm shocked at the flimsiness of the cowl. It is literally paper thin plastic. (Mine varies from .006" to .016" along the back edge). I can't image that this cowl will hold up to the slightest bump and there don't appear to be any spare parts available. I'm going to try and beef mine up with packing tape,

C'est un avion bois avec un recouvrement en mousse. Grande qualité de fabrication avec une légèreté et rigidité au sommet; par exemple le cockpit, aussi léger que rigide! Bonne finition de tout l'avion, la décoration est belle et durable et il parait qu'il vole bien. Un bon achat pour une qualité de fabrication très bonne.

Excellent avion, rigidité et légèreté, qualité de fabrication et le cocpit pèse rien et pourtant très rigide. Coloris imprégné dans la mousse qui ne se décolle pas. Bel avion et grande qualité de fabrication.

Excellente qualité de fabrication, rigidité et légèreté, rien que le cockpit est impressionnant, il pèse rien et pourtant bien rigide; bonne qualité de décoration imprégnée dans la mousse. Avion bien conçu, tout est précis et bien étudié.

Excellent Starter Plane for 3D flying

This plane is a really good value for learning to fly 3D, it can handle mishaps in stride, and really fly's well. assembly is super easy, and setup is also easy.
I used the following parts to complete mine: • Sunnysky 2216 V3 1100kv • APC 10x4.7 SF • ZTW Mantis Slim 40 amp esc/Sbec • HRB 3s 1300s • Hitec 5065 Servos • Spektrum AR620 • Spektrum DX8G2 TX
My one request to HobbyKing is to make spare parts available, especially cowls, hatches, etc

Nice model, worth the money, larger motor build is tough to get desired CG location w/out tail weight. 3536 motor best so far but build winds up about 100g. more w/ bigger battery. Overall Yeah we're rockin'!!!

Full 3D indeed but a lot heavier than mentioned in the specs.

Weight is 685 gr without a battery which is 25 - 30 % more than the specs.
The fuselage and wings are very stiff, stabilo and elevator not so.
But it does all the tricks bigger wooden 3D planes can do.
A bit expensive.
